The in-die SPAC® installation tooling is the most economical solution for mid to high volume production. The single or multi point tools are custom designed and available as pierce and clinch, clinch only in top down, bottom up or cam action configurations. Installation of different size or type fasteners in the same die is a common approach. A fully automated blow feed systems supplies fasteners in correct orientation to the tooling. Consistent installation force is accomplished through a monitored nitrogen gas spring system. Monitoring of tooling and fastener status, production startup, auto run and shut down is controlled through the feeders HMI.
